In an effort to reduce the number of accidents over the Thanksgiving holiday, Pennsylvania State Police will be conducting a “Click-it-or-Ticket” campaign. State police will be conducting traffic checkpoints in areas shown to be high-crash areas. During the campaign, officers will educate the public about traffic laws. Officers will also be issuing citations for traffic and vehicle code violations.

During last year’s holiday campaign, the state police issued 7,606 speeding citations, arrested 390 individuals for driving under the influence, cited 528 people for not wearing seat belts, and issued citations to 71 for failing to properly restrain children in child safety seats.
