Former University of Florida baseball player Stephen Kendall Locke, Jr. had DUI charges dropped after it was determined that the video from the arresting officer’s dashboard camera did not support the arrest report.

According to Officer Daniel Surrency, Locke was driving erratically, had the odor of alcohol on his breath, swayed, slurred his speech, and needed to lean on his vehicle for support. The dashboard camera showed no evidence of Locke swaying and the accompanying audio confirmed that his speech was not slurred. After reviewing the tape, the state attorney determined that the DUI charges were not substantiated.

Locke was removed from UF’s baseball team after being charged with DUI. As of this writing, no updates have been given on Locke’s status with the baseball team.
