Palm Beach County State Attorney Michael McAuliffe is proposing an innovative solution to issue of high caseloads in his office. McAuliffe is planning a program that would allow private civil attorneys to serve as special prosecutors to work on select misdemeanor cases. The lawyers, who would be on loan from their law firms, would work for free.
