On Friday night, 52 drivers in Allegheny County were arrested for DUI by roving patrols. The patrols also arrested 5 for drug crimes and issued 173 traffic citations. The roving patrols are in preparation for Super Bowl weekend. Some expert believe that roving patrols are more effective in catching drunk drivers than sobriety checkpoints.
